• Above: Bird Turds #5. (There has been some confusion about these things. So. If you click on the above picture it should open up the flickr photo page - I'm not that good at this stuff - in a new tab or window at which point you can click "all sizes" so that you might actually read it. If you feel like it.)

• How awesome would it be to be a foreign correspondent for CNN from your outpost in Secondlife? You could file stories like "Sploders: An Exposé," or "Make Your Lindens Work for You" or an interview with the fifteenth baroness of Bauerhoff de Caledon. You wouldn't have to worry about fact-checking or anything because nobody gives a shit.

• I have recently come across two music videos that have reached, in my opinion, the upper echelons of radness. One of them, "Knights of Cydonia," by Muse, I saw with Jush last night. (Its inclusion here is evidence of how impossible it is, I think, to overestimate the cultural impact of Guitar Hero.) The shit is a send-up/tribute to everything that has ever ruled in movies or television. The other one, "Yahhh," by Souljah Boy (?!) I was going to put up on the last post, but I didn't want anyone thinking that I had ripped it off for Bird Turds #4. Whatever. I dare you to not laugh along with the little dude who's like a cross between Lil Penny and the Great Gazoo.

(Just click on it, dude. There's YouTube action within the answers.)

• I just realized I missed the new episode of The Wire to make this entry. And now I'm all "errgh."

• I made a new Bird Turds last night, based on an all-time favorite Ghostface lyric. (The internet says that the words are a little different than how I have them, but I think Shamanzo and others would agree that my interpretation is correct.)

• My new favorite radio show is Coast to Coast AM. How did no one tell me about this before? Late-night UFO conspiracy theory broadcasts? That is my shit! Me and Rainuts were going to make, like, one of those terrifying songs that uses weird disembodied voices and atmospheric sounds out of this thing, but then we found out that Tool used it first.

• This guy Ben Pearce's Flickr photostream is amazing. (It's also where Holotone gets his profile pics! (Read: "via Holotone."))

• Because I abruptly switched sides and decided to bet the smart "money," and therefore suffered a devastating crabass loss, it has taken me a while to be able to appreciate Carl Brutanananadilewski's enthusiasm for the New York Football Giants' Superbowl victory. But I think enough time has passed.

• I want to live inside of a shipping container.

Back Up More Like Throw Up

• If you're me and you spend a ton of time doing stuff in front of your computer, but then part of your "process" involves long stretches of just kind of sitting there and thinking, you end up just kind of naturally coming across entertaining shit on teh intrabutts. (If you're me, you turn that experience into a blog.) And sometimes, if you're lucky, you get to witness \ participate in epic threads. (We tried to call in the Raichile for a one-time airstrike, but no dice.)

• The dudes from Baker make sunglasses now. Isn't it weird how you see Greco play guitar more than skate these days? The guitar is a cruel mistress, man.

• In other skate news, if you read that 16 things about the Gonz thing from last time, you maybe saw a little bit about Steve Rocco. Now there's a movie being made about him, and I, for one, can't wait to not see it in theaters and wait for the DVD to come out.

• Updated message to hard-core fans of the Gorillaz: There still won't be any more records, but you can either pay money for our signature sex toy, or you can pay money to watch us masturbate in a more figurative manner. Thank you, that is all.

• I'm not the biggest fan of the song in the following video. It's a little too "blog-rock" for me. But just on a basic level, you've gotta respect the level of nerd-work that went into this thing:

• CFY,K endorses: this bicycle.

Dorkin' Out On St. Patrick's Day

• Thee Famous Person, in the midst of meeting up with old friends and Grupthink denizens, was, apparently, at the same show as the Status Ain't Hood guy.

• I have been dying to play a little Man Cup lately. Also, I caved today on my new FFF (that's "Fast Food Free") lifestyle. That Big Bacon Classic had no idea what it was in for. Afterwards, though, I felt the dirty guilt.

• You probably saw it on Pitchfork already and everything, fine, but damned if that Crayola commercial with the Animal Collective soundtrack isn't the best, like, thirty seconds on television.

• I went and saw 300 last night. Epic? Yes, it was epic. Somewhat uncomfortable due to the costume department's reliance on leather briefs? Yes, it was somewhat uncomfortable due to that. (Raichile, for the record, has been searching for leather briefs for some time now. To match his harness.)

• I found this webpage the other day with the thirteen most beautiful avatars on Second Life. Suspiciously Absent: "Devself Ay." I guess you have to be a supertan dude with bushy eyebrows to apply. What are these guys? Brothers? (Typing this shit is cracking me up.)

• Ok ok ok. I gotta go research magical realism and read a book.

Can't Call It

• Apparently, I don't know anything about anything. Jush won the 2007 RWRR Brett Sucks Challenge. The Corndogs became The Cowboys. And then they imploded. And then they disintegrated. And then, just to add insult to injury, For Better or For Worse simply will not die. (Memo to Watterson: You have proved your point. I want it back.)

• But all is not lost here in Sarchicha. For one thing, the notorious Gigglestick Magillicutty is back with a vengeance kind of. At the very least, he's tearing Grupthink the fuck up.

• Also: What Daytrotter does is so good that I want to do everything they do and not even feel bad about it.

• The Good, The Bad and The Queen is so good you may - may - be able to expect a review of it soon. But we here at CFY,K are still waiting for all the reviews of that Anvil Rabbitt EP to come in. (Oh yeah. That's totally still happening.)
