Now With Something Like User-Generated Content!

• I have made yet another Bird Turds comic. I like this little bird. (You can click "all sizes," by the way, to see it in all of its bigness.)

• That photo up there was taken by one S. Higginbotham, of a rug that she actually owns.

• I guess when a band already has a video on Mtv - of all places - it's a pretty solid indicator that I've been sleeping on them for, like, entirely too long. (It's weird that having a video on Mtv these days means almost exactly the opposite of what it used to mean. Like, now you're probably less likely to check out a band if you see that they have a video on Mtv. They've become like Oprah's Book Club for music videos. Either way, times are hard since I became broke as hell and fascists took away the Good Shit Catalog.) Whatever. Vampire Weekend is good, and I like any band that makes a song about an esoteric grammar issue. (Should that be "grammatical" issue?)

• Pardon me, but I think that that Lindsay Lohan spread in New York Magazine (possibly NSFW) might be - and not necessarily for what some might consider to be the "obvious reasons" - the best thing she's ever done. Or at least since Mean Girls.

• From the Obligatory Lil Wayne Reference file: this old post from a random blog might contain the best comment I have ever read.

• Raver sent me a link to this website called Stuff White People Like. The shit's funny. (Fuck! Dutch city bikes! Guilty as charged!)

• More from Mrs. Higginblatt: Fitness Celebrity John Basedow has met his match, and he's got a gun.

• I would like to, here, reiterate my formal request to one Anvil Rabbitt (get iTunes, already) for pictures of Schnabel's new building, the Palazzo Chupi. Can it really be as obnoxious as I suspect that it is? Is it possible that it came right back around into awesome territory? I feel that further investigation is necessary.

Pour The Coffee In My Eyes

• Hearing about my exile on Elba, S. Higginbotham came to visit this week. Ping-pong was played. Attendant injuries were suffered. Pork chop sandwiches were consumed, and attendant food comas were endured. It was like a morale-boosting care package that you'd get on a rainy day at summer camp except, like, in human form.

• "You's a seven-time felon. What you doin' with that?"

• I want someone that I know, likesay the aforementioned Higginblatt, to make their own font, and then to tell me how that went, so I can decide if I would like to do so as well.

• So what if I don't have a functioning automobile or any discernible source of income? Fuck it. I'm going to see Spoon. Because I can't think of a good reason as to why I wouldn't do that. I mean. It only costs money and is happening hundreds of miles away. (Happy birthday, FP.)

• I'm having one of those days where I'm not dying; I just can't think of anything good to do.

• From the "More Evidence That This Blog Has Become Less About the Strange Activities of One 'The Devil Himself' And His Far-Flung Associates and More About the Goings-On Within the World of Rap Music That Nobody Who Reads Said Blog Cares About Other Than Its Author, 'The Devil Himself'" file: Lil Wayne is going to be on the new Jay-Z record. We here at CFY,K consider this a win. (Also: Here's hoping that there's some little kid sitting in front of his computer with a notebook full of scribbled sixteens thinking, 'Oh. That's how you do that.')

Show Full Size & Shrink To Fit

• Q: How many times do you have to take a bath wearing your jeans?
A: As many as it takes, man.

• Is Format Magazine awesome? Or is it just like another one of those Hypebeast + Mass Appeal X The Fader = Random Colorful Hipster Nonsense deals? (Aren't we done with all that shit by now? The Devil Himself wears jeans and white tee shirts as a personal form of fashion protest.) I don't know. You tell me. (And while I'm at it, my new issue of The Fader needs to go 'head and get here.)

• The other day the kid Holotone - locally famous for the early epic Raichile battles - sent me a link to the kickass part of a terrible film. I'm into it.

Rilo Kiley, as a band, has finally found its true purpose: letting the world know that pornstars are just as boring as indie rockers. (NSFW, kind of. I don't know. Maybe it's SFW, but probably not. It depends on where you work, really. Where I work, which is nowhere, it's perfectly safe.)

• This one I saved till the end. Because it's worth it. I usually hate childhood-nostalgia stuff, because what the hell, you know? If I'm already going to do something as weirdly childish as having a blog, then I at least shouldn't blog about childhood crap, right? This one, though. It's too good. Remember when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the king shit lookout and it was nuts and they had that promotional deal with Pizza Hut but there was no Pizza Hut nearby so you had to beg your mom to drive you ass out to Pizza Hut when they released that tape by that "band" that was supposed to be, on some level, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves? Remember that?
